Investigation Team Vacancies
at HYPR Please be aware that from time to time a vacancy does come up and it will be advertised on our forum here: - http://hauntedyorkshire.myfreeforum.org/ We do however, keep people's names and email addresses on file so if a suitable vacancy should arise, then that person will be alerted. Prospective members should be aware that there is far more to being a paranormal investigator, than simply turning up for the investigation on the night and there is much work to be done behind the scenes, besides just attending investigations. In being a member of HYPR, you will be expected to help review footage after the investigation and help generally with any tasks pre or post investigation that may be required. Everyone will be expected to be willing to help in trying to source places for us to investigate and that will more than likely involve making a few phone calls and or face to face 'cold calling' from time to time with another investigation team member. Prospective members should have their own transport, as most of the investigations we do won't be on your doorstep and we will be travelling at unsociable hours with lots of equipment, so your own vehicle is a must. Prospective members must be over 18 yrs of age. There is a no smoking/drinking (alcohol) policy in/at the location. Please also be aware that if we advertise for a specific person i.e. “Technical Manager”, he or she will have to know how to rig up any of the technical equipment that we use on the investigation like cameras etc; computers etc., or recording equipment and if we advertise, for example, for an “EVP Specialist”, he or she will have to be knowledgeable in that field and will be responsible for the setting up and the collation of EVP's as well as reviewing the evidence after the investigation. Any vacancies advertised, is all that is available at that time, we cannot, however much we are pressed to do so, take on any other people from other fields. We mainly investigate private houses and therefore we cannot take more people than absolutely necessary, so numbers are kept to minimum, for that reason. Please bare in mind other groups work in other ways, that does not mean that all groups work that way, every team is different. HYPR do not do organised ghost hunts, nor do we take general members of the public with us on our investigations. All our investigations are on a strictly confidential basis and in becoming a member you hereby agree to adhere to this code of conduct. HYPR use an array of scientific methods in collating evidence and will look for natural explanations for any occurrences that may be happening at a location and only when we have discounted all other possibilities for the 'occurrence', will we then say that it could be paranormal in origin. We do not conduct our investigations like certain ‘paranormal TV entertainment programmes’ and we actively discourage people from thinking along those lines. There are many groups who do - do this method of "investigation", such as groups who do organise ghost hunts for the paying public and maybe if that is what is more up your street, then this is definitely not the group for you.
